At Simkins and Son’s Renovations and Repairs, we recently had the pleasure of working with a new customer in Moorestown who initially believed they had a minor issue with wood rot. Upon inspection, however, we discovered the problem was significantly more extensive than originally anticipated. It appeared that the previous contractor had improperly installed the deck, leaving a gap that allowed moisture to creep in over the years.
To fix the issue, we first removed all the deck boards and partially dismantled the deck framing. After clearing out the rotted materials, we properly flashed the area to prevent future water damage using our comprehensive Deck Rot Repair service. We then restructured the deck and seamlessly integrated new decking into the existing structure. Lastly, we installed new siding and downspouts to ensure a well-rounded, complete finish.
