This client was referred to us from Carter Lumber Company. Simkins and Son’s Renovations and Repairs provides door installation to their clients who are looking for recommendations. I was hired to remove the client’s existing door and install a new Therma-Tru pre-finished door. The new door was a bit smaller than the previous opening, so I had to frame in a new opening and repair the interior and exterior. I sheetrocked, taped, and spackled the inside, installed new trim, and a custom threshold that I stained to match the door. Outside, we were able to save some of the exterior trim and reuse it, giving the client significant price savings.
